I love getting to travel, I didn’t move five thousand miles away from home for nothing. Getting to experience God moving in different places all over the world, but in the same way is something that I really count as a blessing, not everyone gets to do that.
After a service a woman came up to me and thanked me and encouraged me. She said she was blessed by my voice and this also touched me because this is something I sincerely want; to allow God to use me in my talent.
It was great and encouraging to just connect with other believers in Amsterdam. See them appreciating and enjoying the worship time; it really just reminded me to never take it for granted. I was as well reminded that when you do things for the glory of God, regardless of whether or not you are professional at it, God can use it to touch someone.
“Conley and the Fire Basket” is an adaptation of the message of the gospel, an adaptation of the great commission found in Matthew 28:19-20. Conley is an average young man who the King of Light entrusts with a great responsibility. He gets the assignment to take care of the Fire basket. Conley needs to discover the ultimate goal of it : the light is to be shared. During this play, I understood that God was using us to do exactly the same. It was not just a play, not just a scene that helps the story to progress, but God opened my eyes and I looked at it as a metaphor of our ministry on that day. We were used to bring the light to the children around us. Our presence, our attitude, our words, our smiles, everything was used by God to reach their hearts.

During this outreach, I think for all of us in some way or another our faith was challenged in such a way that God was able to show His faithfulness so evidently again and again. There were so many times this happened, but one day specifically we were sent out from morning until night in groups to different cities in Germany with nothing but a transportation ticket, a list of things to try to accomplish, and a tea bag to try and trade for something worth enough to give away to someone. In some way or another God provided ways for all of us to have something to eat and provided incredible opportunities for us to share the gospel. By the end of the day, we were fed lunch by family, traded our tea bag enough to be able to give two different people on the streets something nice, we were given brand new articles of clothing to give away for helping a shop owner carry a couple things and were able to share and pray with these people and numerous others we just met on the street. It was incredible to see how we went out with nothing and received so much to give away and were so blessed by the simplicity of how God provides, and that was just in one day, not to mention all that God did in the others. It was so amazing how when we would all meet up at the end of the day there were testimonies of what God did just left and right. There is no need of schedule to tell someone about Christ or to pray for them, it's more just about being open to letting God use you and trusting in Him as He leads you to do something you may not be so comfortable with in the beginning. And lastly, God never ceases to reveal to me the importance of prayer and how powerful it is when we pray in expectation.

It’s clear that I experienced and learned many things during the mission trip to Belgium. I think it’s safe to say that God showed me something new every day. During each day, however, I noticed that the issue of confidence arose within me. At some point in the past, I must have begun to lose the confidence that I once placed in Christ.I now had an opportunity to pray for people who needed to give their hearts to God, but I shied away. I decided that it was because I wasn’t feeling well, but after I thought about it, I realized that I had become insecure about praying in a large-scale setting. Once I came to grips with this realization, I longed to regain that confidence that had fleeted away. In the evening, as we worshiped, God gave me another opportunity to pray for someone, and I took it. During prayer, God reminded of the authority that he gave each of us in Jesus. I began to gain more confidence in my prayer life, as well as in my everyday situations.
